Hello everyone!! I am so glad to have found this tribe. I was acutally searching for Iyawo sites, white clothing ANYTHING!! and I found a link to the posts for "you know you are a Santero if..." I laughed so hard I got a headache! It was such a great relief for me to finally not feel so alone. I have been around this beautiful religion for most of my life and now it is time to totally cross over. Right now I am stressing to get everything ready for my Santo in June. So, if anyone knows of great places, I know you do ;0), to buy white everything PLEASE help. I'm in Metro Washington, D.C. area but doing all of my stuff with my family in Miami. Everything is so expensive but I know that it will all have been worth it in the end. Thank you y bendiciones a todos.

Fri, March 28, 2008 - 8:12 PMpuede ser que no necesitarás mucha ropa, keep in mind that you can always pick up more items as needed. i was a little spun out trying to find enuf white clothes al principio, pero realicé que solo necesitaría yo como...dos faldas, dos pantalones, dos vestidos, pañuelos, un solo par de zapatos, y la ropa intima. i made the mistake of thinking i needed a whole new wardrobe, when in reality a super scaled down version worked great

Sat, March 29, 2008 - 2:08 PMTry if you can to find a wholesale shopping district that supplies clothing to small stores.... In NYC its 28th and broadway going down to 23rd but see if you can find one in your area.... it is very iinexpensive and you can buy all of your white items in bulk.
